Anita & Alex - Dance Studio Southlake TX

Although many styles of dance today have become more sexually provocative and oftentimes inappropriate, we have high moral standards, and make sure that all involved are aware of the proper etiquette and behavior encouraged at our dance studio. To maintain our commitment to a healthy and safe environment for all of our students, there is no bullying allowed and all costumes are age appropriate. We operate on the basis of purity, grace and elegance, as well as passion and technique. Studio A Dance has won numerous awards and received top national honors, and we will continue providing respectable dance instruction for years to come.

Anita Conley—Founder

Our founder Anita Conley has been active in the dance industry for 35 years. A native of Dallas, she fell in love with the performing arts at a young age and her pursuit of dancing and singing landed her early appearances on PBS. Her skills quickly developed and in 1978, she established her own dance camp to help young dancers grow, called Danceline USA. Anita's talent outweighed her formal training, but that did not stop her from excelling even further. In 1979, she was selected to become a Dallas Cowboys cheerleader, which included overseas performances for U.S. troops in Korea and Greece.

With a B.A. in Health Education, Anita became passionate about offering her philanthropic services and started a program with the Buckner Children's Home. She later founded Studio A Dance in 2009 to nurture physical, mental and spiritual development for students through the art of dance. Anita proudly serves on The Dance Council, the American School of Ballet Advisory Board (ASB) and is a patron of the NYC ballet with her husband, Bill.
